What did being in the Alcorn State University band mean to you?

It felt good, great, and SPECIAL! At that time, no other college band had dancing girls and everyone imitated Mr. Griffin - from dancing girls to band formations.

How does it feel to be an original member of the first dance team in the history of HBCUs?

It is a very proud feeling, especially when people ask and have that look of disbelief, and to be alive after 50 years is a blessing!
