What did being in the Alcorn State University band mean to you?

Being in the Alcorn State University band meant having a family away from home, friends for life, traveling, a new appreciation for music and dance, celebrity status, strict values, self-discipline, and academic excellence.

How does it feel to be an original member of the first dance team in the history of HBCUs?

I am honored to have been a part of an outstanding band during that season of my life. We traveled extensively during that time and it was a great learning experience.
