What did being in the Alcorn State University band mean to you?

It meant I was able to make friendships that lasted a lifetime. It taught me discipline and gave me a sense of accomplishment.

How does if feel to be an original member of the first dance team in the history of HBCUs?

I love it!!

It was wonderful to have the skill of dancing, entertaining, and twirling; however, I am very happy to have completed my degree and have a successful career in Medicine. I would encourage any student to study hard and be the “best” in any endeavor whether as a “Golden Girl” or any pursuit.
